HoneyBaked Ham
I don't eat pork. Okay, the truth is that I will have bacon on occasion ON a hamburger but I don't eat ham or pork chops or the world famous Southern barbeque sandwich. However, I do enjoy a good turkey sandwich and I know that HoneyBaked Ham stores carry those. HERE is a coupon deal that a friend emailed to me this morning.
I am just now able to get to it as I was at the salon this morning getting my hair done. I am no longer a blond. :-)

Name Brands
When I first started couponing my friend told me, "Do not be brand specific." She was right but we all have those couple of things that we just love to have that are made by one particular company and no one else makes it that way. So, one of the things that I will not give up is my Dove Ultimate Deodorant! Coupons are not prolific for that particular product so when I have to I will settle for regular Dove Deodorant.
I am thrilled to say that there is a $2/1 coupon HERE for Dove Ultimate! Each computer can only print 2 so if you are a friend of mine and do not use Dove Ultimate, will you print me a couple? Rite Aid Coupons

Keep Your Receipts!
There are lots of things I wish I had done differently but one of them is: I wish I had kept my receipts...especially now. Is anyone asking why? I'll be happy to tell you: REBATES. Not only do I shop with coupons and scour the internet for the best deals on things I buy every week but I watch my favorite blogs for rebate deals as well. I have already, this year, received $30 in rebates and have around $100 more submitted.
One of my favorite rebates was for a case of paper. With all the coupons and rebate forms I print out saving money on paper and ink is a blessing. Office Depot had a deal running with discounts and a $25 rebate that made an entire case of paper around $10! That is a sweet deal. My other favorite is actually running again right now. Buy $50 worth of ProX Olay products and submit for a $20 rebate. Have you priced ProX products? The run around $45 each or the "starter kit" for over $60. Now, I haven't reached the age where wrinkles are appearing...yet but if there is something out there that will help me keep that "age" at bay then I'm all for it but not at $45 a bottle! So, I found them at Kroger (this was last year) for about $35 a bottle, bought 2, used 2 $10 off coupons, and submitted for the $20 rebate. That made each bottle about $15. Now, for wrinkle prevention that is a good price in my book. :-)
All of this to say, save those receipts, especially in the days ahead. P&G has a rebate going right now that if you buy $50 worth of products they will send you a coupon book with $100 worth of coupons on PG products. The great thing is that it can be multiple receipts and the deal is before coupons! Go HERE and check it out. Always, always, always read the rebate thoroughly for yourself.

His Word Wednesday

Reverend Mike Dorough's favorite book in the Bible is Romans 8. He uses it to encourage everyone he knows during whatever they are going through, for we are "more than conquerors"!
In plain language the passage above tells us that when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and walk in His ways that you are free from condemnation and the trap of sin. I know in my life that the Accuser (Satan, Baal, Devil, etc.) tries to make me feel less than worthy to live or to accomplish anything for the Glory of God. He brings up my past failures whether it's through a memory or someone saying something about it. Sometimes I fall for his trap and begin thinking about things like: 1) Why would God even want someone like me in His eternal kingdom? 2) How or why would God want to use someone like me? Do you notice the focus of those questions? They revolve around me instead of Jesus my Savior. Jesus came to this earth wrapped in flesh and conquered sin, death, hell, and the grave! I may be weak but the God who redeemed me is ALL POWERFUL. As I've heard so many times this is what I have to say when the Accuser comes after me, "Get thee behind me Satan! I am redeemed by The blood of The Lamb, Jesus Christ, and you have no hold on me because He is holding me!"
Our victory in this life can only be found in the blood of Jesus Christ. The hymn Victory in Jesus encourages us with these words:
I heard an old, old story, How a Savior came from glory, How He gave His life on Calvary To save a wretch like me; I heard about His groaning, Of His precious blood's atoning, Then I repented of my sins And won the victory. (emphasis is mine)

Breaking Free Ministry
Here is a picture of a few things that God allowed me to pick up to donate to Breaking Free.
All items were $1 or less each. The razors were all free.
I've said it before and I'll say it many times in the future: this is the main reason I enjoy couponing so much. In the past I would have never been able to afford to give this ministry this many items! By the way, I have not neglected Bubba's needs in order to give these things away. :-) He has plenty of what he uses! To God be the glory for the great (and small) things He has done!!!

An Example
Here is an example of what I was talking about in the earlier post:
I love when the Pg inserts have the $1/1 Satin Care coupons. It's funny too, just the other day, my husband told me enough shaving cream. He said he only uses like one every two months. Um, hello? What about me, and my mom and all the other people I give "gifts" to? Shave gel doesn't go bad and it is something I will always use. So I am not listening to him on.
Good thing too cause I am heading over to Target to get more shave gel for free. Target has Satin Care in the trial section for $.97. My store adjusts the coupons no problem. There are no size restrictions on the coupon.

The post above is from Drug Store Divas. In our PG Insert there was NOT a $1/1 coupon, we received a $.55/1 coupon for Satin Care Shave Gel. So, even if our Target has the trial size for $.97 each we do not get the same deal because we don't have the same coupon. Personally, $.47 each sounds like a normal price for a trial size shave gel. :-)
The value and expiration date of coupons vary from newspaper region to region. The AJC has higher value, longer expiration dates, and MORE coupons than the Macon Telegraph. If you are willing to pay then you can have the AJC mailed to you here in Middle Georgia or you can do what I do and wait for a family member who lives in that area to mail the coupons to you. Thankfully my Grandmother lives in the AJC delivery area and does not use coupons. She is more than happy to set them aside each Sunday and mail them to me every couple of weeks. I am so grateful she is willing to do that too!
