I don't know everything about how this works but what I do know is that last year I got a fantastic deal on a couple pair of Yellow Box flip flops (my favorites but they are a little pricey). You go to Belk and buy a $5 "ticket" that goes to support the charity of Belk's choice that year. You take that ticket with you on the date of the sale and you get $5 off your purchase. The great thing is Belk has a sale the day of the charity event including several items they normally don't discount, like Yellow Box. See your store for more details. The charity day is May 1 so hurry and get your "ticket".
