A Quick: His Word

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.--Hebrews 11:6

You know that Bubba and I have been trying and praying for children for over 6 years.  What you may not know is that the nursery is just about complete.  In 2008, after watching Facing The Giants for the millionth time I asked Bubba what we were doing to "prepare for rain"?  What were we trusting God to do in our lives that no one and nothing else could explain?  I was looking for a "God Thing" answer.  It was then that we decided that we would start putting together our baby room.  We have the 3-in-1 crib (goes from crib to toddler bed to single bed).  We have the dresser that doubles as a changing table.  Now, thanks to my brother and sister-in-law we have a swing, car seat, high chair, grocery buggy cover, a shaded pool float, a Bumble (is that right?), bottles, the chair on wheels, an exersaucer, etc., etc.  My mom even dug up pjs and blankets that my siblings and I had when we were babies.  She even found a blanket that my Grandma crocheted!  The neat thing is the blanket is green and the baby room is...GREEN.

Bubba and I have faith that God will bless us with children.  I am still diligently praying for twins.  We have almost everything you need to care for a baby already in our home.  We trust Him.  We have stepped out in faith.

What are YOU believing God for?  Have you prepared your home, your family, your life so that when God shows up you are ready?  Have you, honestly, put your faith in Him?  Have you let go of the reins or the wheel or maybe He is just waiting for you to let go of whatever god you are holding onto (money, success, fame, accolades, the applause of men, stuff, or the demands on your time that don't honor Him).

God has us here, in this heartbreaking spot, for a reason.  I don't know what that reason is and I am not okay with it some times but I KNOW, without a shadow of a doubt, that it is for my good and His glory.  I also know that if God never blesses us with children that He is still God and that He still loves us and knows what is best.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.--Romans 8:28

Trust Him today.  Step out in faith.  Do that thing that doesn't make sense to the world but makes perfect sense to those that trust Him!  Go out there and build the ark in the middle of the desert...just because God told you to!

I would love to hear about your faith story.  What has God done in your life that can only be attributed to Jesus Christ and doesn't make any human sense?

Standing on His Promises, Mrs. Bubba
