Hold onto that newspaper!

Don't throw Sunday's paper away just yet.  Even if you are not a coupon clipper but you love to give deserving ministries things they need then this post is for you!  If you just like getting a good deal on something then this post is for you too.  I like both so this was such a fabulous find I just couldn't wait to tell all of you about it, so here it is:

This Sunday in one of the coupon inserts (I should have made a note as to which one but I didn't) is a Mail In Rebate (MIR) for a FREE Schick Quattro Titanium Razor OR Schick Quattro Titanium Trimmer.  Now, if you or your hubby uses the Schick Quattro then this is great for you!  Go to the store of your choice and buy a new Schick Quattro then mail in the rebate and wait for your check to come in the mail.  You've got a FREE razor!

A few things to remember about Mail In Rebates:

1)  They have deadlines as to when you mail them in by
2)  They almost always need the original cash register receipt
3)  Most request that you send in the UPC off the product
4)  Write legibly so they will know who and where to send the check
5)  There is, typically, a lengthy waiting period before receiving your check (from 6 weeks to 6 months)

I can name 2 great ministries that could use that razor:

Breaking Free ministers to young men who are addicted to drugs.  It is free to the men and their families.  Some of the men do not have any family to send them the small comforts of home such as a decent razor or Ivory/Irish Spring soap or shave gel.  Please visit their website to learn more about it.  I personally know a young man who is currently in the program and his family is ELATED at how well he is doing.  It is a Christ-centered ministry.  Donations can be mailed directly to them.  The address is on the website.

Christin Social Ministries through Second Baptist Church Warner Robins.  I don't know much about this ministry.  This is what I do know, they are constantly in need of laundry detergent and personal hygiene items and on occasion they will ask for non-perishable food items.  This is what else I know, SBCWR wouldn't support a ministry unless it was Christ-centered.  I do wish I knew more about it and may ask around to see what I can find out.  Donations can be made in the SBCWR Grand Foyer in the big beautiful wooden boxes on either side of the Welcome Desk or the Front Office during office hours.

Is there a ministry that you know of that could use things like razors?  I would love to hear about them.

Serving Him,
Mrs. Bubba
